Privacy Policy
Scenely is an iPhone app published by TNPixel ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information Scenely uses and what it does not. The short version: we do not collect what you watch, what you type, or any personal profile. Scenely has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not require an account.
What stays on your device
- Your TVs: the name, model and local network address of the TVs you add, and (for Samsung TVs) the pairing token the TV gives the app. These are stored on your iPhone only.
- Your scenes and settings are stored on your iPhone only. We do not receive them and cannot read them.
Local network access
To find and control your TV, Scenely asks for permission to use your local network. When you tap Scan, the app checks addresses on your own Wi-Fi network for Roku and Samsung TVs. Commands you send (such as volume, app launches, and text you type with the keyboard button) go directly from your iPhone to your TV over your home network. They are not sent to us or to any server of ours.
Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat, a service provider, to manage Premium subscriptions and purchases. To do this, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, your purchase and subscription status, and basic technical information such as app version, device model, operating system and country, as described in RevenueCat's privacy policy. We do not receive your name, email address, or payment details. This information is used only to provide and restore your purchases, and it is not used for tracking or advertising.
What we do not do
- We do not show ads and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- We do not know which TV shows, apps or channels you watch.
Children
Scenely is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Remove a TV in the TVs tab (swipe left) or delete the app to remove all locally stored TVs, tokens and scenes.
- Turn off Local Network access for Scenely in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. The app will then not be able to find or control TVs.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
Trademarks
Scenely is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roku, Inc. or Samsung Electronics. Roku and Samsung are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app or its App Store page.
